a beautiful, hot autumn day Brooke and Greg were married. They chose
an outdoor wedding at Greg's extended family's house, just outside of
the Gold Coast. This was a fun wedding for me to photograph as I had
photographed Brooke's sister's wedding only a couple of years
beforehand, so it was extra nice to meet up with all the family again
and say hello!
will not lie; by the time the ceremony began the sun was belting down
on us; you would have been forgiven for thinking we were in the
middle of a very hot Australian summer, not heading into the middle
of Autumn! Luckily for the bride and groom, the were nestled in
the shade of some very lovely fig trees, only a few metres from a
babbling little stream that sounded just lovely!
location the couple chose for their wedding photos was spectacular!
A neighbour's property, lined with purple flowering trees
provided the perfect backdrop for their formal wedding photography
session. As I was taking the portraits I felt like we had
secured the most gorgeous place on the Gold Coast by far; more
stunning than Tweed Heads coastal inlets, more picturesque than the
love the photo of the bride and groom above, where Brooke has stopped
to smell the flowers. Perfect advice, isn't it, for a wedding
day? Stop. Relax. Take in everything around you
because it all goes so fast. That's the most common thing I hear
from couples at their wedding; how fast the day has zoomed by! To many,
it's just a blur of activity.
