Bronwen and Josh were married at the Italo Club in Lismore
on a spectacular Saturday afternoon in April.
know it's going to be a great party when the Italian community of
Lismore gets together. Such an event was Bronwen and Josh's
wedding, held at the Italo Club in down town Lismore. What a
great honour it was to be wedding photographer for this amazing
wedding, where friends and family of Bronwen and Josh melted together
to form one huge cheering mob of happiness!
a beautiful green theme to help the day along, Alstonville Florist,
once again, managed to blow me away with their beautiful "green"
bouquet. Large vases of green apples and rosemary adorned the
tables of the reception. Simple and elegant and just a little bit
(okay a lot) eye catching, it made for some very arty photographs of
the reception venue.
and Josh opted for a "first lool" section of their day. For those
of you who don't know what a first look, it is a chance for the bride
and groom to meet up before the ceremony and have a moment together
before they have to share each other amongst family and friends for the
rest of the day. It was a gorgeous thing to witness as a wedding
photographer, being the only other person there besides the bride and
groom. Yes, there were tears, happy tears and lots of hugging and
laughter as they first saw each other, dressed in their wedding finery.
under a beautiful huge old tree just outside the Italo Club in Lismore,
guests enjoyed the ceremony which was filled with funny anecdotes and
the cheeky humour of Bronwen and Josh. They really made it
personal and heartfelt, celebrant Kath Murphy doing a gorgeous job as
we headed to the outskirts of Lismore where I came across a wedding
photographer's dream in the private property we took photos.
Amazing lawns, abundant with massive fig trees and superb
lighting...an absolute dream!
of having a traditional wedding cake, Bronwen paid homage to her
Italian heritage by instead creating a "cake" from delicious rounds of
cheese. It looked divine! Guests were invited to help
themselves to it along with breads and biscuits. If I hadn't been
playing wedding photographer, I might have just dived right on in!
Partying went well into the night, with everyone up on the dance
floor shaking their thangs to some very funky tunes that the band
belted out. I don't think Lismore has seen such a party for a while!
