Lexi and Aaron travelled from Sydney to get married in Byron Bay's
beautiful hinterland. Nestled under glorious trees and in front of legions
of family and friends they said a very emotional "I do".
and Aaron, from the trendy Eastern Suburbs of Sydney chose the stunning
hinterland of Byron Bay to have their wedding. I was over the moon to
be their wedding photographer as not only are they seriously good
looking but two of the nicest people you will ever meet.
beautiful vintage lace dress and her gorgeous head scarf, were really
something to behold. They were delicate, feminine and truly, just
exquisite. She really was the consumate beautiful bride.
was a very emotional ceremony, in fact it was a delight to be their
wedding photographer and capture this for them; from Aaron nervously
chewing his lip as Lexi walked down the aisle to the way he never let
go of her throughout the ceremony, not to mention the expressions of
love on their faces, not only for each other, but when Lexi's son
confidently read a passage at the end of their wedding ceremony.
property (Whimsy Farm) Lexi and Aaron chose to exchange their vows and
have their wedding reception is actually a private property venturing
into the realms of weddings and this was the first wedding to be held
there. Located in the hills surrounding Federal, about 30 minutes
from Byron Bay, it features a manicured maze, a treehouse, vast
expanses of luscious green lawns and spectacular gardens.
the first part of their official wedding photography session, we
concentrated on getting some amazing portraits in the maze of Whimsy
Farm. I felt like I was a photographer in a fashion shoot instead
of a wedding photographer! everything was just so beautiful!
and Aaron had spent many hours driving around Byron Bay in the search
of a lone fig tree to do their wedding photography in front of and they
found it, by chance, in a paddock. They approached the owners who
were only too happy for them to have their wedding photos taken there.
Funnily enough, the owners had hundreds of chickens who roamed free
about the paddock and I got photosbombed by one of them at one stage
which had us in fits of laughter. It's not often a wedding phtoographer
can say they were photobombed by a chicken but I can!
late afternoon sunlight across the Byron Bay Hinterland was truly
spectacular, light shafts streaming through clouds to create ultra
romantic wedding photography.
would like to thank Lexi and Aaron for choosing me to be their wedding
photographer. I hope the they truly enjoyed the beauty of the
Byron Bay Hinterland as the backdrop to their wedding. I
certainly enjoyed photographing it!
