Byron At Byron Resort Wedding
A fabulous luxury location in a much loved resort town. Two gorgeous people deeply in love. Combine these special factors with a party mood shared by nearly 100 guests and you have one hell of a wedding celebration.
Welcome to Steph and Andy’s beautiful destination wedding.
To say that I was excited when Steph and Andy asked me to be their wedding photographer would be a massive understatement. I was over the moon! Apart from them being just delightful people, their choice of wedding venue, The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa has long been a favourite of mine since I photographed a wedding there in 2012. Nestled in gorgeous rainforest on the south side of Byron Bay, it is a premier wedding destination for couples, both local and from further afield, just like Steph and Andy who traveled from Sydney to have their wedding at this gorgeous venue.
Steph made a breathtaking bride as she emerged on the arm of her brother to walk down the aisle to her love. Tears welled in Andy’s eyes as he watched his bride get closer and closer.
The wedding ceremony was fun and light hearted and paid homage to the duo’s love of animals. After the wedding ceremony celebrations ended, guests enjoyed games on the lawn at The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa. Champagne flowed and laughter rang out as we set out to wander around the resort to take the newlyweds’ wedding photography portraits.
Not only did we utilize the luxury resort at our fingertips, but also one of Byron Bay’s famous beaches: Tallow Beach. This impressive beach, home to many weddings, is known for being one of Byron Bay’s most photographed beaches and is an amazing 6.5 kilometre expanse of sandy heaven. Here we photographed some gorgeous romantic wedding portraits of just the bride and groom enjoying a moment of solitude after a busy, crazy day.
The fun continued well into the night. The wedding reception was held on the deck at The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa, a beautiful outdoor are to enjoy the ambiance of the resort. There were impromptu rap songs by the MC and Best Man, heartfelt speeches and many laughs. It truly was the perfect wedding.
I’d like to say a humble thank you to Steph and Andy for choosing me to be their wedding photographer for the day. It’s always such an honour to be bestowed with such a momentous task. I hope they love their wedding photos as much as I do.
