Byron Bay has so many different aspects to it; from the hip beach scenes to the glamour of visiting Hollywood celebrities. There are also the iconic Byron Bay Lighthouse and the rocky cliffsides that surround it; jagged coastlines, howling winds and the roar of the ocean come to mind. And in my own mind I consider this type of topography very, very romantic.
When Aimee and Mike tied the proverbial know at the base of the Lighthouse on a hot Byron Bay day, they were surrounded by over a hundred friends and family members who travelled to Byron Bay from all over Australia as well as overseas to witness the wedding. Indeed Aimee and Mike the bride and groom themselves, reside in Hong Kong and had chosen Byron Bay as their wedding destination due to it’s laid back atmosphere and beauty.
Their reception was held in the spacious and beautifully decorated Byron Bay Surf Club., where guests enjoyed hilarious entrances made by the bridal party, exquisite food and laughs.
I photographed this Byron Bay wedding in 2012 and I am delighted to say the wedding photos still stand the test of time!
