The heat in Byron Bay is stifling. Outside tourists and revellers alike, flock to local watering holes aka pubs, in hopes of escaping it’s clutches.
Inside a gorgeous beach side bungalow where whales can be seen from the windows, splashing and frolicking on their journey south, the air conditioner hums, as the bride dresses herself with impeccable care. It’s her wedding day. She pauses in her preparations. There is no panic, she is surprisingly calm.
In just a few moments, she will walk down on to the beach, the Lighthouse of Byron Bay a beacon in the distance, to marry her love. Tonight, they will celebrate at the The Belongil Cafe. And I will play wedding photographer to the loved up and fabulous Tracy and Andy.
